Paper Submission
GENERAL INSTRUCTION
- KEER2018 welcomes submission of high quality, original and unpublished papers. All papers must be submitted electronically via Online Paper Submission Page in EDAS adhering to the guidelines below. Please select submission track of Regular Session or Special Sessions.
- It is the author’s responsibility to make sure the paper is free from plagiarism and all legal consents and copyrights are properly archived upon submission to the conference. Plagiarism check by the organizer will be conducted at camera-ready stage, and any papers that exceed 40% of similarity index will be automatically rejected. No refund of registration fees will be made for such cases.
PRESENTATIONS, POSTERS, VIDEO
- Papers can be presented as a presentation, a poster, or a video.
- Presentations take place in parallel session and each session will be focusing on one topic (e.g. Happiness and Wellbeing, Robot Interaction, Culture and Design).
- Posters will be presented in a specific place where people presenters should be close to their own posters and present their work to visitors.
- Videos will be presented as a plenary session, and to be called Kansei Video Festival. Videos should follow the following specifications: H.264 encoded MP4, at least 1280px x 720px, at most 5 minutes (2-3 minutes is a more common length). The video session is dedicated for presenters not able to come physically to the conference due to schedule constraints, and other acceptable reasons subject to permission by the conference committee.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTION
1) Regular Session Paper:
- Language: English/Japanese.
- Paper size: A4 Paper.
- Page limit: A manuscript should be between 5 to 10 pages, with 2 additional pages allowed but at an extra charge (USD50 per page).
- Paper submission for review: PDF Format according to given template (Size not more than 10Mb).
- Paper submission for Final Camera-Ready: Both MS Word (.docx) and pdf (made from original source .docx) files need to be submitted.
- Please ensure that all the figures are of 300 DPI resolutions.
- Paper for poster presentation should follow regular session guideline and template.
Abstract Submission
Abstract submission is only for Regular Session Paper, and it is optional (not compulsory). Authors who wish to submit Abstract, please use Abstract Template below and submit to email secretariat@keer2018.com. Please indicate clearly your paper title as subject of your email. Accepted Abstract will be invited to submit Full Paper to online paper submission in EDAS.
(Note: Submission of Abstract is optional only for paper submitted to Regular Session. Authors can also choose to directly submit Full Paper according to the submission deadlines.)
Paper Template
For preparation of Japanese abstract / full paper, please write title, author, and author affiliation in English. The rest of the contents can be in Japanese.
2) Special Session Paper:
- Language: English.
- Paper size: A4 Paper.
- Page limit: A manuscript should be between 5 to 10 pages, with 2 additional pages allowed but at an extra charge (USD50 per page).
- Please ensure that all the figures are of 300 DPI resolutions.
- Papers should be submitted both in MS Word (.docx) and pdf (made from original source .docx) file format (Size not more than 5Mb).
- An accepted paper should be presented by one of its authors who must register for the conference and pay the fee.
- Accepted but no-show papers may be excluded from the indexation.

Paper template (with instruction for using template – zipped) and authors guidelines for the preparation of contribution can be found below. Please read these guidelines carefully before submitting a paper. Office Word 2010-2016 documents are recommended.

If you are not able to access the template, please inform us at secretariat@keer2017.com. The official language is English (Please make sure proof-reading of English language is conducted and if necessary submit to native English checker before submitting to us. Paper may rejected due to language problem).
3) Video Submission:
- The video session is dedicated for presenters not able to come physically to the conference due to schedule constraints, and other acceptable reasons subject to permission by the conference committee.
- Request for video presentation must be sent to the secretariat in advance at secretariat@keer2017.com after the paper notification of acceptance.
- Videos should follow the following specifications: H.264 encoded MP4, at least 1280px x 720px, at most 5 minutes (2-3 minutes is a more common length).
